Fall Protection Requirements

Fall protection devices are required for those employees who are obligated to perform their job duties above ground level. Walking and working on a surface that is more than 15 feet in the air requires certain precautions in order to ensure a worker's safety. These conditions are required by OSHA and are provided through protection devices such as landyards, safety nets or guardrail systems.

Additionally, if your employees are working on multi-story structures, further protection should be added. Perimeter safety cables are required on buildings taller than two stories or thirty feet high. If your working conditions fall into these categories, be sure your work sites are following federal parameters.
