It is also flame retardant. The extra large stand up collar with velcro closure protects from overhead leaks, and reinforced crotch and underarms help reduce the likelihood of rip-outs. Hand cemented, fully vulcanized seams also add durability at stress points. The unique blue color of ChemTech II clothing distinguishes it as chemical protective wear for quick compliance checks.
